I've been buying Rieker® German-made shoes for travel for years -- they're like walking on pillows and if you travel alot (or, like us, have an airport the size of a small city that you have to schlep through), you will love. this. brand. I snapped up these 2 pair of the same cute, cute, cute embroidered-floral style at DSW a couple of years ago but they've been sitting in the closet ever since, getting no wear because I've really got plenty of other similar travel shoes. I think I've worn the black pair once and the white ones not a single time.
So I hope one of you will take these home and enjoy them. This style has been out of production for a while and is nowhere to be found, although Rieker shoes are still widely available (e.g., at The Walking Company store or website, Zappos, TravelSmith)
Fit is TTS in length and TTS through the heel, but roomy through the toe box and across the top of the foot -- similar, say, to the way Børn® shoes fit. If you've got a high arch, you'll love the Z-Strap's forgiving length. I have to have Rieker®'s Z-Straps shortened by my favorite shoe repair dude since my foot's narrow through the top and forefoot. Their toe boxes are really a bit wide for me, too, but their shoes are still super comfy for me. And if your foot's a bit wider than mine, oh MAMA are you gonna love 'em! :-)
